Mixed Blend was a chapter quartet which was formed in 1987 or 88 by a competition among the members of the chapter. It was intended to encourage quarteting in the chapter. It consisted of Barry Owens (Tenor), Bernard Peek (lead), David Collins (Bass), and Johnny Jackson (Bari). We stayed together for several years singing at local engagements and competed as Novice Quartet in 1989, winning in Tuscaloosa, AL. We sang in chapter shows through the early 1990s. Dave and Barry have both gone on to their eternal reward, but Bernard and I are still singing with the chapter and enjoying it. Johnny Jackson
