The shuttle to and from the National Cemetery brought back some memories. Searching old newsletters in the Online Archive for "bus" I saw in 1997 that Pete Jones was thanked for lining up the W.L. Wilson and Sons Funeral Home bus and driver for sing out trips that included Elderfests, later called Elderhostels and now Road Scholars trips to Cartersville, Amnicola Falls, Red Top Mountain, etc. There was also a note that we bused to see a "Big Chicken" show in Atlanta. We would meet in the Big Lots parking lot in Ft. Oglethorpe. It appears this stopped in 2006 that is until the Memorial Day trip in the photograph above (a larger version is attached). SteveW
