Script For Thursday's Meeting |
7:00 PM - Meeting at Ponders.
Our effort at Rock the Riverfront went quite well, I thought. We had a great turnout, an appreciative audience and some nice weather. More of us than them at times! A new song is coming to perform at our Free Concert on May 23rd! Let’s not slack off now.
Are you Treasurer material? Step up and serve your Chapter. How about Show Chairman for our Christmas or 2025 Show? We need to be working now for success then! Until Thursday, KTWWS!
Board Meeting is Monday, April 15th, 6 PM, at Ponder’s. Turn your taxes in and then show up! Steve Grubb
It’s only 10 days till the fun-est nite for all chorus members-the q’tet contest! All members names are put in 4 hats, and a name from each part is drawn and put with 3 other names. Some guys (tenors, baris) will probably be assigned to more than 1 q’tet because there are more leads and basses.
The rules are as follows:1) you may sing a polecat, repetoire, etc, as long as it’s a barbershop arrangement 2) you may hold music. 3) judges may be influenced and/ or bribed. 4) jokes, skits, stories may be part of your performance
Prizes! Will be awarded for the most entertaining q’tet; the most humorous q’tet; best performance by a q’tet.
This is a fun activity for all members. It is important that we all participate, from very experienced members to novices. It lets us all experience the absolute fun of knowing your part and harmonizing with 3 guys you’ve never sung with before.
After all, we are a q’tet ing society Bill Slack
